Creating an elegant table is the start of a successful event. Elegant doesn't have to be synonymous with complicated. Keeping the color scheme simple and sophisticated in the shades of black and white, an elegant look is achieved through understatement and stark contrast. Black and white are wise color choices as coordination with china or disposable serving products is a snap. Tablecloths can be rented rather than purchased, and because black is a common color reserving the tablecloths shouldn't be the problem that other colors might pose. Creating an elegant look for banquet tables is simple and affordable.
Instructions
- 1
Place the black tablecloth on the table, adjusting the sides and ends so all edges hang evenly.
2Tear a 24-inch-long piece of aluminum foil from the foil roll and fold the foil in half length-wise.
3Place the foil in the center of the table, on top the tablecloth, at the halfway point (3-feet mark for a standard banquet table).
4Place the 12-inch pillar candle on top of the very center of the foil.
5Place one 10-inch pillar candle 8 inches to the left of the 12-inch pillar candle on top of the foil.
6Place the other 10-inch pillar candle 8 inches to the right of the 12-inch pillar candle on top of the foil.
7Mix the black and white/clear glass gems together in a bag or bowl and pour the glass gems around the pillar candles, completely covering the aluminum foil.
